#WhatiWoreWednesday

I have to admit. There are so many days that i don't get full_out dressed.
If i know i'm going to be creating, working at the house, or only getting out to take the kids to school.
Then it's usually my work-out clothes or a t-shirt i stay in.
Something that's easy for me to move around... and comfortable to be in.
And on these days I don't wear make-up either....gasp. I know, i know...
Hubs man says he like's me with no make-up on to which i have never fully accepted.
Although, after 15 years he still says it so i figure that's a long time for him to lie.
You would think he'd give it a rest already.

I like getting dressed, though and i like clothes too. Go figure...
So a few weeks back Target got in all  there c-ute Spring clothes.
I was actually looking for the girls some new things for Summer when i spotted the Coral top.
It came in Turquoise and the Coral and i really would have liked one of each for both the girls.
However, they have their own ideas about what they think looks good and what they'll wear.
That's one good thing about them staying small is that you can put them in whatever you like and they don't care or give you any lip.
Not the case though as they get older.... whole nother' ballgame.
Anywho, i decided i would get it for myself.
Disney and all on the tag..... and i mean i like Disneyland, too. ;)

And just for fun_ a little Christmas Quiz.

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate? Hot chocolate.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Wrap them
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? white.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, I probably should though….:)

5. When do you put your decorations up? Thanksgiving Evening
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Sweet potato casserole

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? The excitement the night before Christmas. I never could sleep and so many times tried to stay awake to see Santa…Each year I kept thinking it wouldn’t be as exciting but every year that came it still was.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? A friend at school told me when I was in the 5th grade. I was so upset that everyone had lied to me. I started figuring everything out and kinda went down the list, no Easter bunny, no tooth fairy, etc…

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yes, we all get new pajamas

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? The past couple of years it’s been with the pink, turquoise, & red, theme on a white tree. But I change up a lot. So I may go back to my green tree next year.

11. Snow! Love it or dread it? Love, love it. It’s beautiful and is so appropriate for the season.

12. Can you ice skate? I have been before so let’s just say I can manage to stand up …. some
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Probably a Cabbage Patch kid that I got. My mom had to jump through hoops to get it that year and I knew they were so hard to come by. So it was a big surprise to find that I actually had one.

14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you? Trying to keep the focus off of us, gifts, etc and keep it
on the baby that was born in a manger so that I
could be free.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? This recipe we grew up making  called Mrs Fields chocolate chip cookies

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Being with our family that we only get to see twice a year.

17. What tops your tree? A pretty funky little angel dressed in a turquoise velvet dress.

18. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving? Definitely the GIVING. So much thought and care goes into it.

19. Candy canes: Yuck or Yummy? Some are yummy

20. Saddest Christmas song? Oh gosh, Christmas Shoes

Happy Wednesday!!

What we wore for Halloween

Alice in Wonderland

the Mad Hatter

Tim Tebow

Lots of Sugar

We started the night off by handing out candy. There are 11 neighbor kids counting my 2 that play together on a regular basis. So I had bought up some Root beer and made it into Spider Venom. It was a win and I got to be the cool mom. Oldest wanted to just be a coach or a trainer because like I've said before, i can't get him away from wearing sports clothes. I think he was starting to realize he didn't look any different and so he decided to be Tim Tebow at the last minute. I'm just glad he figured something out beings he won't have many more years to do this. Our neighborhood has a lot of homes and it is very kid friendly so people bus in to trick or treat. They hire police men and have certain streets shut off...it gets kinda crazy. Being our first year here we really didn't know what to expect but had been forewarned ahead of time that we would be slammed. I set a limit of spending $20 on candy and filled up a nice little caldron bucket knowing that when it was gone_ it would be gone_ and we would be done. We had set out a table_ chairs_ the candy_ our pumpkin all down at the foot of the driveway to meet each little character as they came by for some sweets. After participating in the giving it was finally time for my kiddos to go and get some treats so we left the bowl and pumpkin just sitting there for whomever to help themselves. When arriving back home we found that they had helped themselves...to our bucket and our cute little mustache man. I was like for reals?
Swiper no swiping...Someone had took the bucket and our pumpkin...and they were walking around holding that heavy thing.... all i can figure is, it must've been hubs awesome carving skillz that made it irresistible not to take. I took a few things too... a lot of photos of my 3 sweet's and a few
Almond Joys_ Snickers_ & Twix. :)

Bubble Wrap

This bubble wrap is making me delirious_ I think it's starting to get to me.
I love bubble wrap... especially the BIG bubble kind...it's my favorite b/c I know it will take extra- care of my extra- special glass & such.
Can I just tell you though how good it feels to know that we can get rid of our boxes for once.
With being in ministry we've never known how long we would be somewhere.
So we left a lot of our things packed in boxes and if we unpacked them we saved the boxes in our attic. Because good boxes are hard to come by...we know this from experience. :)
So with each item that I wrap up and set into a box I'm hopeful that I won't have to do it again for awhile. But also every time I think I have something figured out_ or God's plan for us figured out_ He switches it up on me_ and every time I have to be O.K. with it. Because when I know He has spoken and said to do something and we follow...that's always the best place for us to be....

Anywho, this is what most days have consisted of ..no make-up, braiding my hair, & sweat pants. However, this is what I did get dressed and wear one day..

 **********************************************************************************
And on another note... after much wrestling_ trying to talk myself out of it_ making a ton of excuses_ I have decided to open a shop. I seriously have wanted to do this for soooo long but have been such a chicken. Yet as so many of you challenge me everyday and I read your words of encouragement_ I've decided I'm just going to go for it. I figure what's the worst that can happen... I fail_ no one buys anything, no one likes it.... but I have to try. And if I were to fail, at least I won't be hearing the chicken sound in my head..."bawk" "bawk"... you know? :)

So stay tuned_ within the next couple of days I will have it up and all ready with pictures and guess what? One of my necklaces is called...the "bubblegum necklace"... not sure if I was inspired by the bubble wrap or bubble gum cause' I like bubblegum too..either way though it's the bubble gum necklace. I'll also have headbands...because I adore them and can't quit thinking of ideas for them.

Happy Wednesday!

Floral & a Happy

I'm linking up again for What I Wore Wednesday over at

& with Krystina for

This outfit I wore last Friday_ took pictures in_ and our computer had to be
re-booted or updated this weekend so all of my last imports were lost..major bummer.
The good thing was that it forced me to get dressed again and re-take them but
my hair is super dirty...washing my hair is a task.
I try to go 3-4 days without doing it...
I love the feel of it nice & clean..but it is a chore for me, is it like that for anyone else?

So while I was in a store on Friday there was a nice girl who stopped me and told me how cute my top was..I said "thank you" and she said "I'm not bold enough to step out and wear floral, but it looks cute on you". So I was like " guuurrl, you should try it, it would be super cute on you too"..
and so if you haven't worn floral, I would say try it.. you just might like it. :)

 Top_ TJ Maxx- $14.99
Jeans_ TJ Maxx- $19.99
Flip Flops_ Old Navy- $3.00

And... on Friday I shared an insta-grammed picture of this new "happy".
I ordered it 2 weeks ago from Eager Hands (Lora) because when I saw it, it just spoke to me.
I wanna "Soar" and I feel like now more than ever that's what I'm trying to do/be.
I'm lovin' this piece right now and it has become the one I grab and have to put on.
It came in the cutest packaging and Lora even sent me an extra happy to wear along with it...
she is a sweety, that is for sure.
