Inspiration: You.Are.My.Sunshine

"my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey, 
you'll never know dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away... "

When thinking about "Sunshine" the first thing that came to mind was the song...
I can't tell you how many times I sang this song to my babies when they were born. 
I had Grayson Joseph at the age of 22_ 



later Gabrielle Renee was born_


and 19 months after that Kayli Grace was here.


All of my kids were rockers_we rocked to go to sleep_we rocked watching cartoons_Grayson even used to sleep sideways in the rocking chair.


So many times we all 3 were piled in the chair or 1 was sitting beside me while I nursed the last.


But this was the song that we sang over & over to calm fears _ to hush the world out _ to make them feel my love...


They are what turn my grey skies blue & Gray, Gab, & KK..I love you...

    this is precious. i, too, thought of this song when i first read that sunshine was the prompt. it's so neat to hear everyone's stories associated with the sweet tune :)

    So sweet and beautiful. I rocked all 3 of my boys to that song too. It always makes me tear up when I sing it to them now because they are getting so big. You have a gorgeous family!
