Just because

You know all of the inspiring outdoor spaces that you see on Pinterest_ at weddings_in magazines, well I dream of those kinds of spaces. How fun it would be to create them or just sit and "be" while in them.

So I made up my mind that I was going to create one of those dreamy little spaces...
First, I made a cute fabric pennant_ then I gathered up some Mason jars and whatever else I could use from around the house_ I went out by the woods and found some old pieces of bamboo and made the stakes with jars attached that would hold flowers_ hung some Christmas lights_ grabbed an old frame that was laying around_ and brought out our kitchen table.

We played some cards_ we ate spaghetti & drank orange Crush_ the neighbors stared and were like what the??_ but at the end of the day sometimes you just gotta take things into your own hands and do it just because_ ....and that's just what we did.

I have to say my hubs is one fantabulous man_ he helped me hang the lights/ haul the table & chairs out/ took pics/ cleaned up_ the fact that he has to endure my shinannigans and even helps out while going along with it is beyond me. He must love me, is all I know.
Plus did I mention it was like 100+ degrees outside..yea, um if your thinking of creating an inspiring little space outside, my suggestion would be to wait til' it gets a little cooler,
just saying....:)
I'm linking up with Gussy over at

  7. Heather! Too cute! All I can say is living with Bubs taught the Holden boys patience cuz Nick has gone along with some crazy ideas I've had through the years too :) We are blessed girls to be married to them. Oh and that frame.. um.. we will be needing that for a certain upcoming big family event. So save room in the car for it when y'all pack. :)
