The day the "magic" happened

Magical i tell you. that's what hot air balloons are to me. to date I think going to this balloon festival ranks up on my top_ most beautiful things_ I’ve experienced list. dramatic…maybe. but to me they are humongous awesome brightly colored things floating through the air so peaceful and quiet. and they are magical.
Middle for her birthday in March asked to go on a hot air balloon ride. to which we were like umm, baby I don’t think we can do that right now. so it’s kind of been on her list of things that she’s always thrown out there and said she wants to do.

A few weekends back i got to watch all 3 (and hubs) climb aboard that little basket. to hear the roar of the gas as it lifted them up. they were able to check it off their list….and getting to see their faces was even more the better.
Just start the chicken bawking now…. Bc as we were about to load up on the balloon I look over and there is Colbie Caillet. but did we go up to her. or ask her for an autograph. or even tell her how great her music is….nope. we did get some looks in though. and she did say “hey girls” to us as she walked away. turns out she may have saw us trying to get a look in at her. maybe I dunno.

Later she and Gavin DeGraw were in concert. he was good and Colbie’s set was really pretty. I kept getting distracted by her backdrop though…..it was simple but so pretty.

And ya’ll as I kept thinking about this day and these balloons…I kept thinking about how I could share it with you. Which is how and why I’ve designed these new necklacesall of the pictures i took that day. it impacted me. and I have some beautiful images to remember. but also what kept coming up with me was that one day we will fly away. like those balloons floating up in the sky and moving further up as they go….we too have that opportunity and can do the same.
Bc one day I will fly away….

heather.

  5. Beautiful! Did Gray go up in own? Wow I had a chance to go up in one that was at the Hammond square mall many many moons ago with my daddy... But Ilona wouldn't let us. :( I always think about that opportunity for an awesome memory with my dad everytime I see a hot air balloon. So yay to you and Jode for blessing them with this experience....it will be etched in their memories forever.
